Monet's Garden

Some of the most beautiful gardens in all of Europe are just a short hop across the channel. Dating back to the turn of the 19th century, they continue to give as much pleasure and inspiration today as they did to their creator, the great artist Claude Monet. Monet's Garden gives a vivid impression of the artists' great passion and favourite subject for his paintings. Filled with poppies, lupins, delphiniums and peonies, the colour and growth are abundant throughout the year. Arched Japanese bridges, painted an acid apple green, are festooned with wisteria and the draped fronds of weeping willow frame the water lilies, bringing Money's great works unnervingly to life. We'll also visit the beautiful town of Auvers-sur-Oise, made famous by the acclaimed dutch painter, Vincent Van Gogh. Van Gogh spent the last 8 weeks of his life in Auvers - a place that served both as a retreat for the great painter and also a source of great inspiration.
