The Baltic States - Tallinn & Riga

A fascinating opportunity to visit the former Soviet states of Latvia and Estonia. Riga dates back to 1201, and its fortress walls give way to narrow, cobblestone streets that wind through beautifully restored buildings. It is often referred to as the "Paris of the North", with its oldworld charm, reminiscent of Nineteenth Century Paris. Tallinn is a a striking mixture of Lutheran spires, Russian Orthodox onion domes and secret courtyards. A melting pot of Estonian, Germanic and Slavic traditions, these cultural traits uniquely blend in this stunning destination one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe.
