in the Finglas area of Dublin on the N2, just 2.5 miles from the
city centre. This purpose built hotel opened in June 2005 and
provides the perfect base from which to discover Dublin. The 96

superb and varied department stores of Grafton Street and the St.
Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. Just out of town at Lucan, there
is the new Liffey Valley Shopping Centre with over 90 outlet
stores.
Nightlife
In the evenings, simply head for the Temple Bar area for the very
best 'craic' with music, dancing and Guinness in equal measures!
There are plenty of pubs, clubs and bars. The pub food in Ireland
is second to none!
Malahide
Castle
Malahide Castle is a beautifully restored residence with
distinctive elegance and charm. The extensive grounds of the
Malahide Castle Demense are also home to the delightful Fry Model
Railway and the Talbot Botanic Gardens, great for a half-day visit.
Malahide Castle is also the home to Tara's Palace, one of the
world's most significant Dolls Houses. Inspired by Sir Neville
Wilkinson's celebrated Titania's Palace of 1907, Ron and Doreen
McDonnell sought to recapture the spirit and purpose of Sir
Neville, when they began the creation of their own masterpiece
-Tara's Palace in 1980.
