Bath, the beautiful Georgian city, renowned for its stunning architecture and ancient Roman past attracts visitors for its art, history, heritage, entertainment, shopping and relaxation – it truly offers something to suit everyone. Bristol, has its own identity and more recent history. The vibrant city straddles the River Avon and its harbourside area has developed into a cultural hub. Two great and very different cities.
Day 1 – Depart local area by coach and travel to Bristol, with an appropriate stop en-route at a town or property of interest. On arrival check into the hotel and relax before dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 – After breakfast we travel into Bristol, for a visit to the famous SS Great Britain – Brunel’s “ship that changed history”. A truly fascinating experience (with audio guides available) the route takes you through the Dockyard Museum before exploring the restored vessel and the sights, sounds and smells which recreate the ship’s past. In the afternoon we visit Aerospace Bristol which is the new home of the Concorde. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 3 – Today we travel to the Georgian city of Bath. Whether it’s shopping, sightseeing or relaxation, the city has something for all tastes – including a great range of restaurants. The day will be at leisure here for individual exploration. Dinner at hotel.
Day 4 – Checking out of the hotel we commence our homeward journey with an visit to Wells Cathedral, the earliest English Cathedral to be built in the Gothic style and erected between the 12th and 15th Centuries. Today the Cathedral has one of the largest collections of historic stained glass in the country.

Mercure Holland House Hotel & Spa
The modern Mercure Holland House & Spa is only a 15 minute walk from Bristol city centre. The spacious en suite bedrooms which are equipped with TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There are 10 steps to the front entrance/reception but a chair lift is available. The bright and spacious restaurant offers dishes created from fresh local ingredients whilst the lovely, large bar offers plenty of seating and serves everything from modern cocktails to bar meals throughout the day. The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool & a fitness suite.
