Italian Riviera

Italy

Get the best of the Mediterranean on the Riviera del Fiori

With its mild climate, extravagant villas and stunning scenery, the Italian Riviera is just as charming as its more famous neighbour, the French Riviera. Known as the ‘Riviera of Flowers’, the Italian Riviera has an abundance of beauty, retaining all the elegance of the French Riviera but with plenty of Italian character. Mountainsides strewn with olive groves and vineyards tumble towards the shimmering seas, with attractive harbour villages and medieval towns waiting to be discovered. With its own micro-climate, this region has plenty of sunshine and pleasant temperatures to enjoy year-round. From ancient history and architecture, to ultra-modern opulence, there’s so much to be explored in this charming destination.

During the 12th and 13th centuries, Genoa ruled the Mediterranean seas – you’ll find plenty of interesting architecture harking back to its glory days. There are several lovely churches to explore, including the Chapel de Pénitents Blancs which sits on the top of the hill with wonderful sea views.
