Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, is a relaxed city full of beautiful baroque architecture, lazy outdoor coffee shops, galleries, museums and of course, shopping. This 3 night break will allow you to explore the city under your own steam after a short guided walking tour and will also take you south, outside of the city, the UNESCO World Heritage sight of Plitvice Lakes, one of the most beautiful National Parks in Europe.
Today we will depar t the UK and fly to Zagreb. On arrival we will take a coach transfer to our hotel in central Zagreb. The rest of the day will be at leisur e to either relax in the hotel or start exploring the city, or perhaps trying one of the local outdoor coffee shops.
This morning we will meet our guide for a 2 hour introductory walking tour of the city, which will include the medieval upper town and St Marks chur ch with its multi coloured roof. The rest of the day will be at leisure to explore the city further.
Today we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage sight located half way between Zagreb and Zadar on the coast. The National Park consists of sixteen lakes interconnected by beautiful and dramatic waterfalls, surrounded by forests of trees full of wildlife.
Today we will take the coach back to the airport for our return flight to the UK.
