Overview

With it’s rich in folkloric heritage, stunningly picturesque villages and marvellous scenery, you’ll soon discover why Romania is such a fascinating country to explore. Our tour discovers the dramatic castles and palaces of the Transylvanian province, the unspoilt Carpathian mountain range, also known as the Transylvanian Alps along with Ceausescu’s obscenely grandiose yet magnificent People’s Palace in the country’s capital of Bucharest. The medieval town of Sighisoara is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage as being the only inhabited citadel in Europe. Sibiu is considered to be one of the most beautiful and was awarded the official title of 2007 European Capital of Culture. It has a unique architectural style and boasts an impressive complex of museums.
