Our team building day

The Success Tours team recently took a day out of the office for a team building day, and we were lucky enough to enjoy some beautiful May sunshine.

Beforehand, the day was shrouded in mystery: we were simply given the ominous instructions to bring wellies, a full change of clothes and a towel. However, we arrived at a beautiful location in rural Wiltshire, where we took part in a series of fun activities to challenge us and test how we work as a team.

With games to test our communication skills and a fire-lighting challenge successfully completed, our confidence was buoyed, and we took to the lake in canoes. After a couple of particularly enthusiastic members of the team almost ended up in the water during a game of ‘canoe football’, it became clear why we’d been advised to bring towels!

Our final task of the day was to build a bridge across a small stream – and then, to make our way across it. This challenge was much harder than it looked, but we all succeeded in creating some pretty impressive structures. Crossing these home-made bridges was another matter, as Andy ‘Somersault’ Wenham can confirm, but we made it in the end!
